GUEST DESIGNER for KELLIES STAMPS

Hello Hello everyone!
I am super excited to show you all some projects featuring some of the new stamp sets released over at Kellie Stamps this month. I have been privileged with an invitation to be a guest designer.  I just adore Kellie's stamp sets, the sayings and the icons are just so funny and the quality of the stamps are awesome.

First up we have two Project Life cards, the thing I love about this project is that I used both the 'FOODIE' stamp set and the 'GET IT GIRL' stamp set.  While one is about food, and the other about working out, I just love how they have worked together for these two cards.  I also added a couple of small chipboard stickers from Pink Paislee by Paige Evans 'PICK ME UP' collection.

Next up are some traveler's notebook pages I created.  The first one features the 'GET IT GIRL' stamp set and is a story about a setback.  I haven't used any photos for this entry, rather its just a story of where I am at at this stage in my life, that I want recorded.
I just LOVE the little running shoe icons and the cinched in waist icon in this stamp set!

The following page is featuring the 'FOODIE' stamp set.  And for this page, I decided to white heat emboss the stamps together with traditional black ink stamping and I love how it turned out...

And finally I created this 12x12 layout all about our tradition of a weekly homemade pizza night.  I love the stamp 'yum' from the 'FOODIE' set, that I used to create a border.  And the other circular stamp that features the cute knife and fork image, I used to create my own embellishment for the page.  Love how this page came out.
The cut file is from 'CUT TO YOU' by Gwen Wruck, how cute is it!

Be sure to head on over to Kellie Stamps and get your stamps before they run out.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

JOT Magazine - April Mood Board

Have you seen the latest mood board at the JOT Magazine blog?  It's designed by Kim Jeffress and is so lovely.  The colours, well with two daughters and a lover of hot pink myself, tick!! But the patterns and textures in the mood board could be interpreted so many ways, can't wait to see what crafty people everywhere come up with!
Here is my take on the sketch... I wanted to show texture so there is a bit of everything, felt (bow), puffy stickers, thread, rub ons, stitching, torn papers, tissue paper, and chipboard. The boarder and black and white papers are from Felicity Jane and most of the embellishments are from either Crate Paper or Pink Paislee.
No journalling on this layout, I selected a number of word embellishments to convey the message I wanted to remember.
Be sure to check out the mood board and be inspired...
Thanks for looking!

JOT Magazine - February Mood Board

The Jot Magazine latest mood board is up for the month of February, and it is so beautiful.  It just sang vintage to me.  So I decided to be brave and scrap a photo of me as a little thing.  I combined the latest Felicity Jane 'Reagan' kit with some older Maggie Holmes for Crate Paper embellishments.  The gorgeous rose gold alpha is from an older FJ kit. Thanks for stopping by.

JOT - November Mood Board

... so it's been a while, doesn't time just get away from you sometimes!
Here is a layout I completed for the Jot Magazine November mood board. The colour palette is oh so pretty. Head over to Jot Magazine and check it out.

I mostly used the gorgeous Felicity Jane kits and a couple of embellishments from Maggie Holmes Carousel collection and Pink Paislee Turn the page.

CSI 222

Hello again, here is another case file from the wonderful girls at CSI.  It was a little challenging trying to do a winter themed layout in the middle of our Aussie summer, especially on days where it was hitting 43 degrees (Celcius).
So I tried to use all of the colours, my evidence was:  flowers, snowflakes, decorative borders, and for the testimony I went with winter.
This photo is of my girls on a recent trip overseas, we were at the beautiful Lake Tahoe, but the weather was so wild, wet and windy and FREEZING, we weren't quite expecting it, so they were really cold!

CSI #221

Another case challenge for the CSI and this time its the major case file, so a sketch is included, be sure to go and check it out.
Here is my layout:

All colours used, even the brown - in a small dose, the striped paper behind my photo.
So the evidence I used for this case was: tiny dots (the patterned paper),  letters as a design and enamel dots. I incorporated 'cooking/kitchen' in the theme of my layout.
Testimony used was to mix stickers with journalling.
Thanks for looking and be sure to check out CSI's challenges, with the colours, theme and embellishments (evidence) selected for you, its almost like using a kit with out the purchase price! And I find it really pushes you out of your comfort zone, if the colours aren't your normal choice or even you might have to think outside the square a bit with the theme.  Its really a lot of fun!

CSI #220

CSI Challenge time again! This case had some really pretty soft hues, so nice and easy when you have two daughters that you love to scrap about!  Here is my interpretation of the case below.

So the evidence I chose to focus on for this case was 'stripes' which i used in my choice of patterned papers, both the blue and the pink.  I also chose 'stitching and decorative borders', which I combined. The stitching border on the pink edge is a decorative stitch, and my sewing machine did not like doing that on paper! I had a bit of a tough time and the thread kept snapping, bummer.  I also stitched around the edge of the blue paper, this time a nice and easy straight stitch.  Another evidence I chose was 'food' and 'sprinkles' both in the ink and the sprinkles on the top doughnut peaking out behind the photo.
The testimony for this layout and case was to document holiday food.  The word holiday is used by Australian's in place of vacation, so I chose to do a layout about our recent holiday to the USA and focussed on the list of food items my girls wanted to try at Disneyland.
